Privacy policy
Herezon is a location-based sharing app. This page explains what the app collects, why it collects it, and who it is shared with.
Who we are
Herezon is operated by Emrah Yıldız - Proyo Soft, a sole proprietorship registered in Türkiye. It is the data controller for the personal data described here.

What we collect

| Email address | To create your account, send your sign-in code, and send essential account notices. |
| Username and profile details | To show your posts to other people. |
| Photos and videos (including audio) | The content you share. Captured with the in-app camera only — there is no gallery upload. Videos are at most 10 seconds. |
| Location (GPS) | To limit the feed and map to within 1 km of you, and to place your post on the map. Location is read only while the app is in use; there is no background tracking. |
| Place name lookup | To turn coordinates into a readable place name. Results are cached on our server to reduce repeat lookups. |
| Likes, comments, notification settings | The app's interaction features. |
| Reports | To review content that breaks the rules and to prevent abuse. |
| Push notification token | To deliver notifications to your device. Unused if you turn notifications off. |
| Crash and error logs | To find and fix the places where the app breaks. |
| Advertising identifier (IDFA) | Only if you allow it, to select ads based on your interests. If you decline, you see non-personalised ads. |
We do not ask for government IDs, postal addresses, phone numbers, payment details, or access to your contacts.
About location
Your location is used in two places: to limit the feed to your surroundings, and to place a post you share on the map. When you share a post, its location is visible to the people who can see it — keep that in mind before posting. If you decline the location permission, the feed and map will not work, but the rest of the app still does. You can withdraw the permission at any time in iOS Settings.
Advertising
The app shows Google AdMob banner ads. People in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown Google's consent screen for advertising partners; you can change your answer at any time under Settings → Ad preferences. On iOS the system also asks for tracking permission; declining does not disable any feature of the app.
Services that process your data
- Supabase — the database hosting accounts, posts and interactions.
- Cloudflare R2 — storage for photos and videos.
- Google AdMob and User Messaging Platform — ad delivery and consent management.
- Google Maps and Places — the map and place search.
- OpenStreetMap / Nominatim — turning coordinates into addresses.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple Push Notification service — notification delivery.
- Sentry — crash and error reports.
- Resend — delivery of sign-in codes and account email.
These services process data on our behalf. We do not sell your data.
Retention
Your posts appear in the feed for one hour, but stay on your profile until you delete your account. Deleting your account permanently removes your account, posts, comments and notification tokens. Reports are kept for a limited period to prevent abuse.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account yourself under Settings → Delete account. The action cannot be undone. Details: account deletion.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict and object to the processing of your data. Requests: info@herezon.app.
Children
Herezon is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If we update this page the date above changes; significant changes are also announced in the app.
